The Swenson Lervick Law Firm toasts Gretchen Tvrdik upon her retirement! Gretchen started with the firm in February, 1976 as legal assistant to attorneys John Lervick and Gary Syverson. She later worked as a real estate assistant, and in 1989 she became the firm’s office manager, a position she held ever since.
For more than forty years, Gretchen’s energetic contributions to Swenson Lervick were immeasurable. She led the firm through countless changes: handwritten shorthand, hand-cranked mimeograph machines, printed correspondence and paper call reminders have been replaced by electronically-shared digital transcription, internet-connected copiers and scanners, emails and voicemails. Web-based legal research has largely replaced books, and online court filings are now the norm.
More importantly, Gretchen helped build and retain a talented and dedicated team of lawyers and support staff who are committed to serving the firm’s clients and the community. She has frequently referred to the firm as an “office family” that has shared births, deaths and weddings, and she’s said how, “Through it all, we’ve had fun!” She’ll now get to have more time for fun with her own family and friends, and we wish her all the best!
So, to Gretchen, thank you again for all you’ve done for Swenson Lervick, for our clients, and for our community!
